Fraud Prevention

As someone who has a new email, its likely you’ll be targeted for fraud. Please take note of the following:

There are many forms of fraudulent requests, but the most common is in the form of an email from Ben McMahon (as company director on Companies House) asking you to make a payment or do him a favour. Ben will never ask you to make a payment, nor will he ask for your number or message you on a different number than his own (07771 740167).

Some simple checks when you receive an email:

  • Is there a message on the email saying it's from an external source? If yes, it's not from an internal Collaborate email.

  • Double click on Ben’s name and see what email is behind it. If it's not ben@collaborateglobal.com then it’s not genuine.

  • Is there a Collaborate email signature? If not, it’s not genuine.

  • Do not open any attachment or click on any link unless you are expecting it.

  • If you want to double check, instead of clicking reply, click forward and send it to ben@collaborateglobal.com.

Any fraud emails, please send you jack@collaborateglobal.com or abi@collaborateglobal.com to log with the National Crime Agency.
